WHATS IN THE MIX?
WHATS IN THE MIX?
This mix out performs standard sphagnum moss by mimicking the natural tree bark environments where climbing aroids thrive:
- Premium Sphagnum Moss: Retains a uniform layer of moisture to keep aerial roots hydrated and encourage fast attachment.
- Chunky Coco Chips: Boosts internal drainage and prevents the mix from holding excessive, stagnant water.
- Triple Grade Pine Bark: A curated mix of three bark sizes that creates varying gap sizes for root anchorage while slowly releasing natural nutrients.
HOW TO PACK YOUR MOSS POLE
HOW TO PACK YOUR MOSS POLE
1. Moisten the Mix: Dampen the mix slightly before packing to make it easier to handle and trigger water retention.
2. Fill the Pole: Layer the mix into your moss pole.
3. Check the Density: Pack it firmly enough to support the plant, but avoid smashing it down tightly to keep air pockets open.
4. Secure the Plant: Secure your plant's main vine against the pole, ensuring the aerial root nodes touch the mix directly.
Note: Each standard moss pole requires roughly 1 litre of mix, depending on your packing density.
STORAGE & CARE
STORAGE & CARE
Because our mix contains premium organic components and natural moisture, proper storage ensures it stays fresh for your next repotting project:
- Keep It Cool: Store any unused mix in a cool, dry, and dark place.
- Prevent Mold: Keep the bag sealed but away from direct sunlight or humid areas to prevent natural mold growth.
WATERING AND MAINTENANCE
WATERING AND MAINTENANCE
Keeping your moss pole damp is key to triggering fast leaf growth. Follow these tips to keep the mix performing at its best:
- The Moisture Check: Touch the open mesh of your pole. If the mix feels crunchy or dry, it is time to water.
- Top-Down Watering: Pour water or nutrient solution slowly into the very top open hole of the pole, allowing it to trickle down through the mix.
- The Bottle Trick: For hands-free watering, poke a tiny hole in a plastic water bottle cap, fill it up, invert it, and place it face down on top of the pole.
- Misting: In dry rooms, give the pole a quick misting with a spray bottle daily to keep the outer layer from drying out too fast.
- Size: Sold in 4L bags (Bag dimensions: 200mm x 300mm x 80mm).
- Yield: Each moss pole requires approximately 1 liter of moss, depending on how densely it is packed.

Nice mix. I love that it's in a resealable bag.
Good foliage, plant growing well.
My two climbing plants have taken very well to the moss pole mix. Their aerial roots have begun digging in and taking hold with the mix. They are happy and thriving. My pothos is growing new leafs rapidly and loves the aroid mix too.
seems to be a better mix combination than sphagnum, as it doesn’t get green algae growing in the moist conditions
